Obituary: Nadine Ann Kingman

Charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morris, passes away at age 87.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Nadine Ann Kingman

Nadine Ann Kingman, age 87, passed from this life at Serenity Estates of Morris, Illinois, early Saturday morning, March 29, 2025. Nadine was born June 24, 1937, in rural Morris, the daughter of Margaret (Obert) and James Bell. She attended local grade schools and graduated with the class of 1956 from Morris Community High School.

She is the beloved mother of Diane Barry, Larry "Butch" Kingman, Jr, Carol Phillips, Barb (Ray) Provance and Connie Kingman; devoted grandmother of Edward Barry, Kelly Barry, Joe Kingman and LeeAnn Brackett; proud great-grandmother of 11. Also surviving are her brother, Kenneth (the late Caroline) Bell as well as several generations of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kingman, Sr., son-in-law, Stephen Phillips; three sisters, Idie Dedinsky, Betty Cotter, and Ruthie Partridge; and two brothers, Harold and William Bell.

Nadine was known for her green thumb and keeping a warm inviting home where she enjoyed tending to her plants and keeping up on the news and her favorite shows. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Morris.

Graveside services for Nadine will take place at Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Jim McGuire will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to Lightways Hospice.
