Obituary: Natalie Radakovich

She will be remembered for her determination and strength.

Natalie Radakovich

Natalie Radakovich, age 85, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 4, 2025, at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born April 26, 1939 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Dushan and Helen (Chuck) Radakovich, and was a proud graduate of Joliet Township High School and Joliet Junior College. Natalie was employed for over 30 years with A. T. & T., retiring as a Supervisor.

A longtime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, she was deeply devoted to the Serbian Orthodox community and her family. Natalie was also passionate about golf, travel and gardening. A remarkable woman with great resolve, Natalie would always strive to help all who called upon her.

Surviving are her loving sister, Donna (the late Robert) Isbell of St. Charles; her nephews, Douglas (Paula) Isbell and their children, Ezekiel and Vega Rose Isbell, and Gregory Isbell and his children, Claudia and Giselle Jelena Isbell; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Dushan, in 1966; and her mother, Helen, in 2008.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Jim and Kim Bobbe, Michaelene Vicich, her caregiver, Lisa, the Very Rev. Savo Cakardic, and the Very Rev. Aleksander Bugarin.

Visitation for Natalie Radakovich will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 9:30 a.m., until the time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m., at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 3457 Black Road, Joliet. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
