Patricia E. Horn (nee Mehringer)

Age 76, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lightways Hospice, with her family at her side. Patricia was born in Chicago, IL, on January 1, 1949, to the late Margaret (Stahl) and Andrew Mehringer.

Patricia is loving mother of Tammy (John) Moreno, Michelle (Keith) Vanoskey and Virgil (Nicole) Horn, Jr.; devoted grandmother of Jacqueline (Xavier) Bailey, Gina Moreno, Leah (Eduardo) Flores; Keith (Ashley) Vanosky, Shanon (Frank Pasqua) Vanoskey, and Jeremy Horn and Khloe Horn; proud great-grandma of Logan, Kolton, Mason, Jessie, Dominic, Everly, Sophia, Kyla, Arya, Lincoln, Iris, Cody, Lilian, Frankie, and Vincenzo; sister of Raymond Mehringer; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Virgil Horn; her parents; and brother, Andrew Mehringer.

Her life revolved around her family. She enjoyed taking care of her children, keeping up with her grandchildren, and doting on her great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation for Patricia be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m.
