Rebecca retired from Grace Methodist Child Care at the age of 79. She also worked at Diane Mitchell’s Children’s Center for many years as a cook and was a Teacher’s Aide at the Union School District.
She was a loyal St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and never missed a Chicago Bull’s game. An avid lover of fast food restaurants, you could often find her eating Taco Bell, KFC, or McDonald’s. Rebecca loved to shop at Sam’s Club, Walmart, or any store really. Her feisty personality was seen by all, but her laughter is what was contagious and heard everywhere. Above all else, she loved her family and especially being very present in the lives of her grandkids.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Paula (Barry) Hartman, and Lisa J. Malone; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Wollard, Christal Williams, Melissa (Charles) Murray, Briana (Adam) Liber, and Brooke (Kyle) Schomer; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Robert Lee Wollard; and son, Brad Lee Wollard.
All she wanted was to be reunited with her husband. She spoke about him every single day. And now she is home and at peace with him.
In honor of Rebecca, the family is asking that you wear something blue if you wish, as it was her favorite color.
Visitation for Rebecca A. Wollard will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
