Roger D. Olson
Roger D. Olson passed away at the age of 71, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Roger was born on August 31, 1953, in Forest City IA, the son of the late Oscar and Louise (nee Jones) Olson.

Roger worked as a General Superintendent for many road construction companies including Palumbo, Allied/Plote, Arrow, and finally, retired from PT Ferro in Joliet.
Roger is survived by his children, Brad Olson, Ashley Olson, and Michael Olson (Shannon Gidley); sisters, Jean Olson Elliott and Jennifer Olson; brother, James (Barb) Olson; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lightways Hospice.
Due to his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
Inurnment will be on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors held under the auspices of the United States Navy and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
