Salvatore James Vainisi, age 64, passed away at his home in Plainfield on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Salvatore was born on October 12, 1960, in Chicago. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

Salvatore is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Patsy”; daughter, Samantha; son, Zachary; aunts, Jean McNamara, Shirley (Dave) Ingram; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Salvatore James Vainisi will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
