Most of all, she cherished her family and treasured her role as a grandma, great-grandma and aunt.

Sandra L. Totten, age 63, of Joliet, IL, formerly of Channahon and Morris, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet, IL.

She was born on July 21, 1962, in Joliet, grew up in Channahon, and graduated from Minooka Community High School. Sandra loved making friends and playing bingo. She collected Native American dolls and dream catchers. Most of all, she cherished her family and treasured her role as a grandma, great-grandma and aunt.

Survived by her children, Michella A. Watters and Scott A. Dew; grandchildren, Alexis Nicole (Saul Mendez) Shoemaker, Philip Wayne (Dakota Evans) Shoemaker, Jr., Christian Lee Watters, Antonio Robert Watters, Bridget Sueann Archer, Christopher Alan Archer Jr.; great-grandson, Miklo Erik Mendez; sister, Mary Jo Young; brothers, Frank Ventimiglia III and James (Margaret) Ventimiglia; special niece, Annette (Jeff) Larson; many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Preceded in death her parents, Frank and Ida (Young) Ventimiglia; husband, David Totten; grandsons, Nycolous Shoemaker and Keaton Carver; brother, Paul Ventimiglia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Visitation for Sandra L. Totten will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, IL, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded after services. Family will meet a for a graveside inurnment Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka.
