Thomas R. Ziesmer

Thomas R. Ziesmer of Plainfield, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Edward Hospital of Naperville. He was born on May 27, 1948 to the late Herman and Agnes (Madarik) Ziesmer in Joliet where was also raised. He graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy and went on to Joliet Junior College.

Thomas was a sports fanatic who loved his Chicago teams, Da Bears, Blackhawks and the White Sox. He enjoyed fishing, boating and golfing with his family, and a cold beer in his hand.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Bridget (McBride) Ziesmer; children, Jeffrey (fiancé Lettie) Ziesmer, Chris (Stephanie) Ziesmer and Emilee (Mark Daniel) Ziesmer; and one brother, Terry (Linda) Ziesmer.

He is preceded by his parents and brother, Larry Ziesmer.

As it was Thomas’s request, cremation rites have been accorded. A private celebration of his life will be held by his family.
