Ottawa Street Pool Early Bird Passes On Sale

PLAINFIELD, IL — Being a season pool pass owner has its privileges at the Plainfield Park District Ottawa Street Pool, 23820 W. Ottawa St. Season pass holders can stake out a prime spot on the deck when they get in 15 minutes before the general public. Other benefits include free admission to Flick-N-Float movie nights, Family Theme Nights and Family Fun Day.

Early Bird season pass holders save 30 percent off the regular rates. And the more times you visit the Ottawa Street Pool the more you save. Patrons must register in person for pool passes at the recreation/administration center, 23729 W. Ottawa St.

Early Bird rates for residents and non-residents, good through June 5, are as follows:

• Individual: R $56/NR $70
• Family of Two: R $84/NR $105
• Family of Three: R $112/NR $140
• Family of Four: R $140/NR $175:
• Family of Five +: R $168/NR $210
• Senior Pass: R $20/NR $25

Here are the rules:

• Patrons must register in person for pool passes
• Passes purchased in 2017 may be used in 2018 once renewed at the Park District
• Requires proof of residency: current driver’s license, voter’s registration card, or tax bill
• Family Pass: includes both parents and all children who are under 18 years of age who have permanent residency at the family address
• Senior passes available for those 55 years and older
• Individuals 16 years and older are required to show a driver’s license/state ID before receiving their pass

About the Ottawa Street Pool

The Ottawa Street Pool is located across from the Plainfield Park District Recreation / Administration Center, 23729 W. Ottawa St., near downtown Plainfield. The 278,000 gallon L-shaped pool is equipped with high and low diving boards and lap lanes. The facility also includes deck chairs, a 3,000-gallon enclosed wading pool for toddlers, a ship-themed children’s splash pad play area, shaded picnic space, and men’s and women’s locker rooms.

The Park District offers group and private swim lessons, as well as other classes and special events at the pool which is also available for parties and private rentals.
