Overturned Semi Blocked 143rd Street For 10 Hours: Plainfield Police
Due to the truck's speed when turning, it caused the unsecured load in the trailer to shift, overturning the semi, Plainfield police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — After a semi-tracker overturned around 10 p.m. Thursday near 143rd Street and Route 30, it wasn't until after 8 a.m. Friday the roadways cleared, according to Plainfield police.
Plainfield police officers and fire department personnel responded to the intersection at about 10:06 p.m. to handle the incident and conduct an investigation. Officers determined that the truck was traveling south on Route 30 when it made a left turn to travel east on 143rd Street.
"Due to the speed of the vehicle, it caused the unsecured load within the trailer to shift and led to the trailer overturning on the roadway," Commander Anthony Novak told Patch.
