Pace Looks To Fill Bus Driver Openings At Hiring Event In Plainfield
Same-day job offers will be made to prospective employees applying to become bus operators, mechanics and servicers.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Pace will host a hiring event in Plainfield Thursday, officials announced.
The transportation company that operates in the Chicago metropolitan area is looking to hire bus operators, mechanics and servicers. To apply, prospective employees can attend the hiring event happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 14536 S. Depot Drive.
People looking to become bus drivers should bring their Secretary of State driving record abstract and attend a 90-minute assessment session that starts at 10:30 a.m., organizers said. In an effort to remove financial barriers for applicants, Pace offers free Class B commercial driver's license permit courses and paid training for qualified candidates.

Same-day offers will be made, and light refreshments will be served at the event. Attendees will also be entered into a raffle to win tickets to Joliet Slammers baseball games.
