Park District To Close Out Summer With Free Family-Friendly Event
Bingo, inflatables and a performance from a steel drum artist are among the many activities at the party, set to take place Aug. 14.
PLAINFIELD, IL — To close out the summer with a bang, the Plainfield Park District is hosting a free party at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center Aug. 14.
Anyone can attend the event, which will last from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. that Saturday. Among the activities that day will be inflatables, parking lot bingo, a touch-a-fire-truck event and crafts. No registration is required to attend the event, at 24550 W. Renwick Road.
Champs Smokin BBQ and Fiesta Taco will be on-site with tasty concessions for sale during the party. While people eat, they can also enjoy a performance from steel drum artist Scott Johnson from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
