Park District Meeting Video Available

See below for video of the Aug 13th, 2014 meeting and budget hearing that's up and ready for viewing on YouTube.

OK, here on the new Patch, I’m going to try to embed the video clips in this post, but also go the typical route and below are the three links you need to see the video of the August 13th, 2014 Plainfield Township Park District meeting and, right before it, the Special Meeting for a Hearing on the FY2015 budget (running from July 1st of this year through June 20th of 2015). Bear with me, I haven’t done this set of tasks, before.

FYI, Wendi Calabrese, Board Secretary, mentioned that the documents the commissioners had regarding budget and strategic plan (really big binders full of paper!) will be posted to the PTPD website today or very soon after, in the Forms & Documents section. Total viewing time of the three clips is about 42 minutes.

I don’t normally put much descriptive or editorializing text with this post, but want to point out that during public comment of the regular meeting, we heard from a young lady who did a terrific job presenting a project she would like to work on with the district (and the board directed staff at meeting’s end to pursue this) to help some kids who use wheelchairs and have some trouble getting close enough to watch football games gain access via paths so they can get closer to the games than the parking lot. She did a great job with a great idea—that is editorializing, but it’s warranted—good on her!
