Patricia Andreasen, Longtime Active Resident and Business Owner
A woman who lived a life of dedication to her family, friends and her community that will not be forgotten.

Patricia Ann Andreasen, age 91, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1955, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1932 in Chicago, IL.
Patsy is survived by her loving children, Earl (Debbie) Andreasen and Ingrid (Christopher) Price, both of Plainfield; her cherished grandchildren, Brandon (Christina) Andreasen, Ryan (Danah Moorhouse) Andreasen, Kaitlin (Alex) Andreasen, Chelsea (Andrew) Calhoon, Jake (Matt Flanagan) Price and great-grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Anderson, Finn Johnson-Andreasen, Jack Calhoon, Makenzie and Lily Moorhouse; her numerous nieces and nephews, especially Michael (Janette) Sheppard, Heather (Adam) Gear, James Flanagan and Samantha, Nicholas, Kyle, Joseph, Elizabeth and Ethan; as well as countless great friends, including Barb Barrows, Sally Conklin and the “Pizza Gang”.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl W. Andreasen, Sr.; her parents, Vinton and Jennie Flanagan; her siblings, James Flanagan, Maureen Sheppard and Timothy Flanagan.

After graduating high school, Pat enjoyed a brief career as a flight attendant for United Airlines. She met the love of her life and married Earl in 1955. They settled in Plainfield and were very active members of their community. She was co-owner of Earl’s Music, The Dance Factory, Hall’s Texaco, and Andreasen Travel, all in Plainfield. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and MainStreet Plainfield. She volunteered selflessly to numerous organizations including St. Joseph Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. Pat was honored as the Grand Marshall of the Plainfield Homecoming Parade in 2007. Patsy will be remembered for her pool and parade parties and her love of Maui. Above all she lived each day for her family and loved each one in her own unique way.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 12, 1:00-5:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Monday, November 13, 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Plainfield Township Cemetery.
