Patricia Shereyk, 87, of Plainfield
Pat leaves a legacy of love and wonderful memories to all who knew her.
Patricia Lillian (Madeja) Shereyk, age 87, of Plainfield, Illinois, formerly of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1939 in Chicago, IL.
Pat was preceded in death by her Dearly beloved husband of 56 years, Adam J. Shereyk, together they shared a lifetime of love and joy.
She was the loving mother of Michelle Dewey, David (Kelly) Shereyk, Tricia (John) Ruiter, Adam (Lisa) Shereyk and the late Scott Shereyk (in infancy) and the late Steven Shereyk; the cherished grandmother of Brittany (John) McCallum, Ashley (Tyler) Anderson, Courtney Torres, Kate (Paul) Schultz, Kyle Ruiter, Michael (Emily) Shereyk, Karla (Jay) Haymes, Johnny Ruiter, Paige Shereyk, Hollie (Nathan) Cruz, Jenna Shereyk and Bridgette Shereyk; the treasured great grandmother of Everly, Kennedy, Indy, Tanner, Delilah and Cooper; and a dear aunt and friend of many.

Pat was an exceptional cook and baker whose meals and treats brought family and friends together around the table. She loved to dance and, even in her final days, was still keeping the beat. An avid swimmer, Pat also enjoyed playing various games, and found great pleasure in gardening, loved her dogs and traveled with family.
Pat took pride in her appearance and always looked beautifully put together. She loved shopping and had a special talent for creating the perfect outfit.

Above all, Pat found her greatest joy in helping raise her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent loving, nurturing, and caring for them, and the memories they shared will remain a treasured part of her legacy.

Visitation will be Monday, July 20, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 Joliet Road, Plainfield, Illinois 60544. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield, Illinois 60544. All are welcome to meet for the final committal services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois, following the Mass.
