The shopping helped students learn how to make grocery lists and how to locate and purchase items in the grocery store.

Mason Dixon, Caroline Collins and Ashley Castillo were among the fifth- and sixth-grade special education students at William B. Orenic Intermediate School in Troy Community School District 30-C who purchased groceries for their annual Thanksgiving dinner they were planning for their classrooms. Through the planning and shopping, according to WBO special education teacher Kenlyn Anderson, students learn how to make grocery lists and how to locate and purchase items in the grocery store.
