Pizzeria, Alehouse Coming to Plainfield

The business promises "amazing brick oven pizza, craft beer, wine & rock and roll!"

PLAINFIELD, IL -- A new restaurant is in the works for Plainfield.

Village trustees on Monday approved liquor licenses for Freedom Brothers Pizzeria and Alehouse, slated to open at 11914 S. Route 59, near Route 59 and 119th Street.

On its Facebook page, the owners of Freedom Brothers said it will serve up "amazing brick oven pizza, craft beer, wine & rock and roll," with an opening date in early spring.

The menu will include "opening acts and groupies" (appetizers), "headliners" (pizza) and sandwiches, along with 24 craft beers -- including local brews -- on tap, according to the website.

Owners Corey and David Svoboda were granted a class F liquor license, which allows for alcohol to be sold and consumed on the premises, as well as a class K liquor, license, which permits them to have an outdoor beer garden.

The restaurant will be located in Suite 112, according to the village. The location previously housed Ewa's Market & Deli.
