Missing Plainfield-Area Woman Located Safe: Sheriff

Officials were concerned for the woman's well-being after she was kicked out of her residence and lived out of a car until it broke.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield-area woman who officials said went missing under "suspicious circumstances" has been located safe, the Will County Sheriff's Office said Monday evening.

"Thank you to everyone who like/shared/ interacted with our previous post or contacted our Office directly," officials said.

Detectives issued an alert on Facebook Monday morning asking for the community's help locating the woman who had not made contact with any of her "known associates" since Aug. 8.

She was kicked out of the property where she resided and was living out of her car until it broke down, officials said. She was not wanted by the Will County Sheriff's Office or any other agency. Officials noted they were only looking to check on her well-being.
