Plainfield Board to Meet to Discuss Salt Purchase

Fall isn't here yet, but the village is preparing for winter.

Despite the fact that Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, fall doesn’t actually begin until Sept. 22.

But after a rough winter that ate up road salt at a record pace, the Village of Plainfield is preparing for cold weather.

A special village board meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday to discuss the purchase of road salt.
