Plainfield Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is offering FREE training on Tuesday nights from September 5th thru October 17th.

If a disaster like a tornado occurs, you want to be able to take care of your family, friends and neighbors until first responders are able to assist your area. Learn how to respond to emergencies in a safe and effective way. Plainfield CERT invites you to participate in our 2017 Community Emergency Response Team course. The CERT program educates you about disaster preparedness for all hazards that may impact our area and trains you in vital response skills. This Free hands-on course is a fun class over 7 Tuesday nights during which you learn about: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Suppression, First Aid Treatments, Medical Operations, Search and Rescue Skills, Team Organization, Disaster Psychology, along with a final hands-on simulation. Take CERT training for yourself, your family, and your community. A CERT member is trained to prepare for and respond after a disaster to provide assistance in their neighborhood.
