Plainfield Churches Host Good Friday Services
Events kick off Easter remembrances in the village.

Plainfield-area churches will remember Jesus' Passion and Crucifixion with services on Friday, March 29, starting off Easter weekend.
Scheduled services are as follows:
- St. Mary Immaculate, 15629 S. Route 59: Starting at noon, the Plainfield Ministerial Association will host a Good Friday ecumenical celebration of Jesus' Passion and Crucifixion through shared scripture, prayer and hymns led by clergy and musicians from these Plainfield-area churches: Church of the Good Shepherd Evangelical, Crosswinds Church, Friendship Baptist Church, God Is Able Christian Church, Hope United Methodist Church, Plainfield Congregational Church, Plainfield United Methodist Church, Sharon United Methodist Church, St. John Baptist Church, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, St. Thomas Episcopal Church
- LifeSpring Community Church, 14735 Wood Farm Rd.: At 6:30 p.m., LifeSpring will host a Good Friday service to reflect on the sacrifice of the cross and prepare for the celebration of the resurrection.
- Plymouth Congregational Church, 24022 W. Lockport St.: The church will host a Good Friday service from 7 to 8 p.m.
- Christ Community Church, 12410 S. Van Dyke Rd.: At 7 p.m., Christ Community Church will explore Jesus' suffering and the darkness before the dawn of Easter through Scripture readings, music and video.
