Plainfield CiCi's Pizza Reopening Postponed
Opening date pushed back as remodeling is completed.
More than a year after it closed, the CiCi's Pizza at 11830 S. Route 59 will reopen under new ownership —but an opening date has not yet been set.
Although the company announced this week that the newly remodeled location will open next week, manager Tim Vandenbark said the date has been pushed back. He said a definitive opening date has not yet been set.
When it does reopen, the company said the first 100 guests in line will get a gift card valid for their choice of a free adult buffet or a one-topping "to go" pizza every month for a year.
A rep for the location said guests who visit during the "grand reopening" can also enter to win a weekly raffle for a free adult buffet.
The Plainfield pizzeria is now owned by Bob Rinaldi, who also operates a Cici's location in Niles.
Tim Vandenbark is a 12-year resident of Plainfield and has been with Cici's for three years, the company said.
"Our loyal fans have been patiently waiting for us to reopen our doors and we are eager to share with them our modernized restaurant’s sleek, new dining room and expanded salad bar,” Vandenbark said in a press release. “We invite our Plainfield neighbors to join us on June 25 to help us celebrate the reopening and stake their spot to receive free CiCi’s for a year.”
The restaurant's hours are set to be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
