Plainfield Couple to Appear on HGTV's 'House Hunters'

Their episode is scheduled to air in around four to six months.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Buying a house can be stressful. Even more so when you have a camera crew following you around. But Bridget Biddinger and her husband Jeff rose to the occasion as HGTV’s “House Hunters” documented their search.

It all begin in April 2016 when Bridget applied to be on the reality show. At the time, they were living in Aurora and looking to get back into the Plainfield area. In August they were contacted to be on the show.

Being on the show was a “really fun” experience, Bridget said, adding that it’ll be fun to look back and see where they were. Bridget and Kevin actually got married in the midst of filming.

“We’ll see what we looked like when we got married. We’ll see our son who is 3 years old. It will be a really cool thing to have,” she said.

With her family living in Plainfield, Bridget wanted to move closer to them, but also considered looking at homes in Oswego.

“We could have looked outside, but we really wanted to be in Plainfield,” she said.

Following them around was a four-person camera crew, who “could not have been nicer.”

“We were a little intimidated by them because they had filmed so many episodes. It was like, ‘They’re going to be bam, bam, bam, get in the house, get out, but they were really professional. They were a really great crew. We had so much fun. It was so great to work with them,” she said.

Unfortunately, they didn’t receive anything from the show other than $500, but still, appearing on a popular show is pretty cool in and of itself.

So, which house did they pick? The only clue we can offer is that it’s in Plainfield. You’ll have to tune in in around four to six months to see which one.

“We love the house we’re in,” Bridget said.
