Plainfield Cruise Nights For June Cancelled Amid Coronavirus

The event could be rescheduled for July.

PLAINFIELD, IL — In a public announcement Thursday, May 7, Plainfield Cruise Nights cancelled its previously scheduled annual event for June amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

On April 21 it had posted on the Facebook page that the Village was in support of Cruise Nights and armed with 12 sponsors for 12 nights, it would take place and previously decided.

Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce took over cruise nights in 2013, hoping to continue a great tradition of the show. The Cruise Nights help in the downtown area of Plainfield every Tuesday for a month is a great way to herald the beginning of summer every year.

The announcement also mentioned that they are looking to host it in July instead and want to give people a chance to show off their vehicles with two car parades on Tuesdays during the month of June.
