Plainfield Fire Board to Meet Thursday

Special meeting comes a week after a deputy chief was placed on administrative leave.

The Plainfield Fire Protection District Board of Trustees has scheduled a special meeting for Thursday, Oct. 9.

The meeting comes a week after Deputy Chief Jon Stratton was placed on paid administrative leave. Neither Stratton nor Deputy Chief Dave Riddle could comment on the decision last week.

Riddle, meanwhile, is slated to take over for retiring Chief John Eichelberger on Jan. 1, 2015.
