This year's Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade has been canceled due to health and safety concerns regarding the coronavirus.

PLAINFIELD, IL – This year's Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade has been canceled due to health and safety concerns regarding the coronavirus.

The Plainfield School District announced the cancelation Friday, which includes all related activities to the 69th annual parade, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 3.

Traditionally, the parade features more than 100 entries, with floats, students, staff and family representing most of the district's 30 schools.
