Plainfield Library to Screen 'Far From the Madding Crowd,' on Feb. 18

The public is invited to a free screening of the movie, "Far From the Madding Crowd," on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

The public is invited to a free screening of the movie, “Far From the Madding Crowd,” on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library, located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield.

The movie, based in Victorian England, follows Bathsheba Everdene and her three very different suitors – Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer; Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor. The movie stars Carey Mulligan.
