Plainfield Middle School To Stage Play Musical Based On Disney Movie
The musical is based on the Disney Channel original movie featuring the troublemaking children of classic Disney villains.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The John F. Kennedy Middle School Drama Club is gearing up to stage its spring musical next week.
Thespians will perform "Descendants: The Musical" on April 18-19, with proceeds supporting the club and future productions.
"Descendants" is based on the 2015 Disney Channel original movie featuring the troublemaking children of classic Disney villains, including Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella De Vil.

The teenagers are imprisoned on an island until one day, they're sent to a prep school attended by the kids of beloved Disney heroes. Once there, the villainous teenagers have a difficult choice: Should they follow their parents' wicked ways or learn to be good?
The musical performances will take place at 1:30 p.m. April 18 and April 19 and at 6:30 p.m. April 18 in the school gymnasium, 12350 S. Essington Road.
