Plainfield Park District Commissioner Honored For Leadership, Service
Ridgley Ann "Mimi" Poling was appointed to the Board in 2014 and currently serves as diversity, equity and inclusion committee chairperson.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Park Board Commissioner Ridgley Ann "Mimi" Poling was honored at her last "full" board meeting held April 13 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center.
Park Board President Bill Thoman presented Commissioner Poling with a clock, containing an inscription that read, "In recognition of your 8 years of outstanding contributions, community leadership, and service as a valued member of the Plainfield Park District’s Board of Commissioners."

Commissioner Poling was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2014 by then Representative Tom Cross, then elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2017. She has served in numerous committee roles, as Board vice-president, and ultimately as Board president. Currently, she is the chairperson of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for the past 2+ years.
Commissioner Poling has been active in many major impacts that have occurred in the Park District, including the 2016 passing of a referendum to ultimately build and open the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center in 2019.
