The Plainfield Park District Dance program offers dance classes for all age groups!

The Plainfield Park District Dance program offers dance classes for all age groups! These classes are for children looking for fun and to learn the basics of dance. All classes located at the Streams Recreation Center, 24319 Cedar Creek Ln., Plainfield or Rec/Admin Center, 23729 W. Ottawa St., Plainfield .

Tap for ages 4-7 years old (program #48310): Tap dance is an intricate combination of footwork and jazzy moves. Tap helps develop a sense of rhythm and coordination while having fun learning all the classic steps. Cost is R$100/NR $125 per child.

Jazz for ages 4-6 years old (program #48306): Jazz dance utilizes ballet combinations and forms with a modern and contemporary flair. Learn all important jazz techniques such as leaps, turns, correct posture, and strong sharp movements to upbeat and fun music. Cost is R$100/NR $125 per child.

Girl’s Hip Hop for ages 4-16 years old (program #48316): Hip hop is for the dancer who loves music and wants to move. It improves coordination and helps build confidence while teaching rhythm and modern music appreciation. Cost is R$100/NR $125 per child.

Boy’s Hip Hop for ages 4-13 years old (program #48317): Boys will learn choreographed combinations and hip hop steps. This class will help improve coordination and helps build confidence while teaching rhythm and modern music appreciation. Cost is R$100/NR $125 per child.

Ballet/Tap Combo for ages 4-6 years old (program #48320A1): Dancers will learn both tap and ballet combinations to various types of music. Cost is R$100/NR $125 per child.
