Plainfield Park District has been selected for PDRMA Wellness Grant

The Plainfield Park District is one of three winners of the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) employee wellness grant program. The grant is for $1,000 for sun safety for staff. The District’s Wellness & Recognition committee worked with H/R on the grant concept; recognizing that sun safety is important when a large portion of the District’s staff works outdoors.

According to Melissa Pilch, Human Resource Generalist for the District “Education and safety for our staff is a critical factor when working outdoors and in direct sunlight for an extended period of a work day. The intended benefits for employees include life style and health awareness as well as preventative options to use while in the workplace that directly support health and well-being.”
