Plainfield Park District Launches Patriotic Photo Contest

Bring out the red, white and blue and win a prize.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Park District is holding a patriotic photo contest to celebrate America's July 4 birthday. Snap a photo that incorporates the red, white and blue colors of America's flag and the Stars and Stripes, then share it with the park district using the hashtag #PatrioticPPD on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

The photos will be shared on the park district's social media pages, and three photos will be picked at random to win a Scout stuffed plush toy.

The contest will be held in the days leading up to the Plainfield Park District Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks event, which is set for July 3 at 6 p.m. at Plainfield Central High School.

Photo contest rules:

  • Photos must be taken between June 25 and July 8
  • Photos must be shared on social media by July 8
  • Entries must be in color
  • By submitting photos, contest participants are agreeing to allow the use of their photos on Plainfield Park District social media accounts, its website, and in future Park District print advertising and program brochures
  • Winners will be notified through their social media accounts
