Plainfield Restaurant Week: Updated Specials
Dine out in Plainfield during the inaugural event for special offerings.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Hungry for something new? The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Plainfield Restaurant Week from Sunday, Jan. 21 to Thursday, Jan. 25. During the event, participating restaurants will offer a special or a discount offering each day. No coupon or ticket is necessary — diners should simply tell their server that they want the Plainfield Restaurant Week offering, according to the website.
As of late Thursday, the following businesses were listed among restaurant week participants:
Big Pauly's Wood Fired Pizza, 15412 Route 59: Offering a prix fixe menu for $30, which includes:

- Appetizer: Bruschetta - Garlic toast points, vine ripe plum tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, parmesan, homemade balsamic vinaigrette.
- Signature Pizza: St. Rocco (Big Pauly 16") - Big Pauly’s signature red sauce, whole milk mozzarella, fennel sausage, roasted peppers, red onions, cremini mushrooms, fresh basil.
- Dessert: Chocolate chip cannoli - Crispy pastry shell stuffed with ricotta cheese and chocolate chips.

Dinner (4:30 to 9 p.m.) for $25:
- Appetizer: Your choice of a cup of soup or our house cucumber pico de gallo salad.
- Entrée: Enchiladas rojas con pollo - Two corn tortillas rolled with cheese and chicken, topped with melted cheese and homemade red sauce. Served with rice and beans on the side.
- Dessert: Homemade flan - A cheesecake-like dessert, topped with in-house raspberry syrup.

Diners are urged to check back with the Plainfield Restaurant Week website for new restaurants and offerings. Joliet also has a Restaurant Week scheduled Feb. 18-25, and Naperville's is Jan. 26 to Feb. 8.
