Plainfield 'Road to Reality' Program Wins Excellence Award
The program teaches teen drivers about the dangers and consequences of driving while impaired or distracted.

Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton, along with Julie Adelmann of Plainfield North High School, Kristi Stone of York High School, Sgt. Eric Munson of the Plainfield Police Department and Eric W. Graf of CN Railroad have won a 2015 Operation Lifesaver “Achievement of Excellence Award” for their “Road to Reality” program.
The “Road to Reality” program teaches teen drivers about the dangers and consequences of driving while impaired or distracted. During their most recent “Road to Reality” program, rail crossing safety was included as part of the presentation.

This award is granted by the Illinois Operation Lifesaver Enforcement Committee and was one of only four awards presented statewide.
