Plainfield South to Hold Rock and Run Fundraiser

Plainfield South High School choir will host its first Southside Rock & Run fundraiser on Sunday, October 4, 2015, according to a release from Plainfield School District 202.

The 5K will go from 9-10 a.m. The race will start and end at the PSHS stadium, 7800 W. Caton Farm Road, Plainfield. The PSHS choir and local bands will provide entertainment.

The entry fee is $30 for anyone registering by September 6, 2015, or $35 for anyone registering after that date. The registration includes a race T-shirt. All proceeds will benefit the PSHS choir.

Parents with strollers and those in wheelchairs are welcome to participate.

Overall race awards and awards for winners in each age division will be given after the race.

Race organizers also are looking for sponsors and are offering several tiers in which businesses can contribute. Volunteers also are needed the week of the race.
