Plainfield South Teen Threatened To Shoot Ex-Girlfriend: Report
Another gun threat: The teenager didn't have a weapon, but was arrested Tuesday, police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A day after Joliet police arrested a former Drauden Point Middle School student over a Snapchat gun threat, a Plainfield South student was taken into custody for also making a shooting threat, this time aimed at his ex-girlfriend. The 14-year-old boy was reportedly arrested Tuesday at Plainfield South, 7800 Caton Farm Road.
Joliet police told the Herald-News the boy threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend in the head, a threat that made its way to a school administrator, who contacted police.
Pictures on the juvenile's cell phone showed him pointing a semi-automatic handgun at the camera, although no weapons were found on the boy, police told the paper. The Kendall County State's Attorney's Office charged the boy with felony disorderly conduct and he was taken to the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles.

The 17-year-old ex-Drauden Point student arrested Monday was also charged with disorderly conduct after he was accused of posting the gun selfie on Snapchat. A semi-automatic handgun was recovered from his parents' home, police said.
On Wednesday, another juvenile was arrested, this time at Plainfield Central High School, after police said he admitted to making school shooting threats. That student was not in possession of any weapons, and was also charged with felony disorderly conduct. That incident prompted a statement from Plainfield police, who said they will take any threats of a school shooting or violence seriously in the wake of tragedies like the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
