Plainfield Student Musicians Headed To State Festival

15 student musicians from School District 202 were selected to take part in the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference.

From District 202: Fifteen District 202 high school student musicians will participate in the 72nd annual Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) All-State Conference festival Wednesday, January 29-February 1, 2020 in Peoria, Illinois.

Participation in the ILMEA festival is one of the most prestigious honors in high school music throughout the state. Students auditioned for the state festival last fall during district-level performances.

Students will perform with the best high school musicians in the state and will work with world-renowned conductors. The festival will close with a concert at the Peoria Civic Center arena Saturday, February 1, 2020.
