PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield man was fatally shot after attending a party in Chicago over the weekend, according to reports and Chicago police.
Officers found the man unresponsive outside a residence in the 900 block of South Keeler Avenue at about 8:23 a.m. Saturday. He had been shot multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in an alert.
The man reportedly left his home in Plainfield Friday night to attend a party in Chicago. The next morning, a witness walking his dog found the teenager lying unresponsive on the ground in the backyard of a home and called police, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office did not identify the man but ruled his death a homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds. The Chicago Sun-Times identified him as Trevon Wright, 18.
