Plainfield Trustee Jim Racich Announces Support for Library

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Trustee Jim Racich has announced his support for the Plainfield Public Library expansion.

Racich said in a release that he does not want to live in a community that refuses to support the “total cultural advantages that a dynamic library can offer.”

“Often we hear or read claims that supporting the future library referendum will place an unreasonable tax burden on area residents. I strongly feel that a lack of positive support stems from ignorance and defeatism,” Racich said. “Denying this referendum on March 15 will send a strong message to everyone wanting to invest in our community. A message that Plainfield is grounded in stagnation and mediocrity.”

Racich urged residents to remember that the future of Plainfield depends on the strength of present action.

“I truly want you to examine your priorities and then cast a 'YES' vote for approval of this vital referendum.”
