Plainfield, Waste Collector Host Week Of Spring Cleaning Pickups
Mattresses, kitchen appliances and carpet will be collected during the week-long event.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Locals gearing up for spring cleaning will have an easier time doing so the week of April 6.
The Village of Plainfield and Waste Management are sponsoring a spring cleanup for residents, who can place household refuse, bulk items and appliances at the curb on their regular pickup day.
Items should be at the curb by 6 a.m. on residents' collection day. All items placed at the curb for collection must be normal residential refuse and packaged properly. Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic, and king-size mattresses must be folded in half and tied or secured with a bungee cord. Carpet, weighing no more than 50 pounds, must be cut and rolled into 4-foot lengths and secured with tape or string.
