The parade will step off in downtown Plainfield on Saturday.

PLAINFIELD, IL — "In case you're wondering: the 67th annual Community Homecoming Parade steps off at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, October 6, 2018, rain or shine," District 202 said in a statement issued Friday afternoon. But the district added: "We will keep you posted of any weather-related changes to the parade through our Facebook page and Twitter feed at @d202schools. #202proud#2018homecoming."
This year's parade features former District 202 Board of Education president and community volunteer Michelle Smith as the grand marshal.
It's also homecoming weekend for Plainfield East and Plainfield Central high schools. On Saturday, the Wildcats square off against Joliet West, while the Bengals take on Plainfield South on Friday.
