Raspolich Named New Plainfield East Athletic Director
The veteran District 202 teacher and coach takes over for Tim Torkelson.

PLAINFIELD, IL -- Twenty-four year veteran District 202 teacher and coach Paul Raspolich will serve as Plainfield East High School’s new athletic director in 2017-18.
He replaces Tim Torkelson who is returning to the classroom so that he can spend more time with his family.
Raspolich is Division Chair for the PEHS Drivers Education/Physical Education/Health department.

A 1987 (then) Plainfield High School graduate, Raspolich started his education career in 1993 as a physical education teacher at Grand Prairie Elementary School and assistant baseball coach at PHS.
He helped open Timber Ridge Middle School as a PE teacher and athletic coordinator, while also serving as assistant baseball and assistant basketball coach at PHS for three years.

Raspolich then helped open Plainfield South High School in 2001 and served as head baseball coach and girls golf coach for six years and four years respectively.
Raspolich also served as PSHS Dean of Students for two years before becoming the Department Chair of PE/Health/Driver Education.
Most recently, Raspolich helped open PEHS in 2008 in his current role. He also served as head girls golf coach and assistant baseball coach for two years.
