Readers Pick: Burgers At Backroads A Local Favorite

PLAINFIELD, IL — Sometimes, the solution to a problem could be to get a cheeseburger. It's comforting, delicious and satisfying. On National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, Patch put out a questionnaire on Facebook asking Plainfield residents where to find the best burgers in town.

We asked, you answered.

Of the 35 responses on Facebook, readers didn't all agree on one place, but Backroads Pub and Grill came out on top with the overwhelming number of votes. Located at 13717 Route 30, Backyards' Burger Barn allows guests to customize their own burgers to perfection. But if patrons want ingredient decisions made for them, they can choose from the sizeable collection of craft cheeseburgers.

One resident described Backroads as having "great burgers and great service." The comment even received nods and reactions from others.

After Backroads, other readers touted Craft'd, located 16031 S. Lincoln Way, and Uptown Tap & Eatery, 24035 Lockport St., as having their favorite cheeseburgers in town. A couple of people on Facebook also said Mark's on 59 in Shorewood has some pretty great meals as well.

Though not located in Plainfield, some people commented that Hamburgerseria in Joliet, which serves gourmet, fire-grilled burgers, is their go-to.
