Register for Sept. 27 Healthy Driven Plainfield Harvest 5K, Kidz Miler

Kids 6-12 years old can take part in the Healthy Driven Plainfield Harvest Kidz Miler "Design a T-Shirt" contest.

Registration continues for the 17th annual Healthy Driven Plainfield Harvest 5K Run/Walk and Kidz Miler on Sunday, September 27 in downtown Plainfield.

Last year, more than 800 runners/walkers took part in the 5K and nearly 200 children participated in the Kidz Miler. The Kidz Miler will begin at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. A post-race party will be held at Tap House Grill, 22402 W. Lockport St., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The online registration fee for the 5K (adults and children 13 and older) is $35 and the Kidz Miler (children 6-12) is $15. The deadline for online registration is Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m. After that and on race day, 5K registration will be $40 and the Kidz Miler will cost $18. Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt and goody bag during the pre-race packet pick-up on Friday-Saturday, September 25-26 at the Edward Plainfield ER, 127th St. and Van Dyke Rd.

Kids 6-12 years old can also take part in the Healthy Driven Plainfield Harvest Kidz Miler “Design a T-Shirt” contest. The winning design will be on the shirts handed out to the children who sign up for the Kidz Miler. The winner of the “Design a T-Shirt” contest will also receive a $30 iTunes gift card.
