Repeat Drunken Driver Rear-Ends Car Before Fleeing, Getting Arrested: Plainfield Police
Among the charges for the 35-year-old woman was aggravated DUI of the third or subsequent violation.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A repeat drunken driver hit a car Feb. 19 before fleeing and later being arrested on multiple charges of driving under the influence, Plainfield police said.
Officers were dispatched at 2:57 a.m. that Thursday for a report of a hit-and-run crash near Route 59 and Renwick Road. The caller said his vehicle had been rear-ended.
The caller described the car and which way it fled, leading police to find the white Ford Expedition with "heavy front-end damage" near Route 59 and Fraser Road, Cmdr. Anthony Novak told Patch.

While speaking with the driver, identified as Brooke E. Cazares, 35, officers "observed several indicators that led them to believe she had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol." Asked to submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, she refused, Novak said.
Cazares, of the 1800 block of Beckwith Court in Plainfield, was subsequently placed under arrest and taken to the police department for booking on the following charges:

- Aggravated DUI — third or subsequent violation
- Driving under the influence of alcohol
- Driving under the combined influence of alcohol and/or drugs
- Operating an uninsured motor vehicle
- Improper lane usage
- Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident
- Failure to give aid/information
