Public meetings will be held in early April to garner feedback for the Plainfield Public Library District’s Board of Trustees as they plan for the library’s future, according to a press release from the library.
In addition to four open house events to be held at the library, three open forum events at other locations will provide residents with an opportunity to express their opinions and priorities for the library’s next steps, the release said.

“The Board needs to hear from our residents, to ensure that we take the appropriate actions for what comes next,” said Library Board President Carl F. Gilmore in the release.
Plainfield Library Director Julie Milavac told Patch the meetings are not just for those who oppose the library, but for everyone to come out and give their opinion.
