Resignation Vacates Library Trustee Seat for Two Year Term
Unexpired Term for Library Trustee Will Appear on April Ballot

Library Trustee Gretchen Fritz tendered her resignation, dated November 30, 2014, following her election the Will County Board. A vacancy was declared for the two-year unexpired term at a special meeting of the Library Board of Trustees on December 4. The unexpired two-year term will be available for election on the April 7, 2015 ballot. Three seats serving four-year terms on the seven-member Board of Library Trustees are also available for election at that time. All library trustee positions are nonpartisan. Any US citizen, 18 or over and residing in the Plainfield Public Library District, may apply.
Nominating petition forms for the April 7, 2015 library board election in the Plainfield Public Library District are available, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., at the Plainfield Public Library District’s Business Office, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield, IL.
Completed petitions must be filed between Monday, December 15 and Monday, December 22 at the Plainfield Public Library District’s Business Office, weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Plainfield Public Library District’s Business Office will accept petitions until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22.
