Romeoville Driver Strikes 2 Cars In Attempt To Avoid Crash On Renwick Road: Plainfield Police
Two drivers were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, while the third was uninjured, Plainfield police said.
PLAINFIELD, IL — In an attempt to avoid crashing into a stopped car Thursday on Renwick Road, a driver not only hit the car, but he also crashed head-on into a vehicle driving in the opposite direction, Plainfield police said.
Officers were dispatched at about 3 p.m. to the area near Renwick Road and Boulevard Place regarding the three-car crash.
A Honda Accord, driven by a 32-year-old man from Romeoville, was westbound on Renwick Road when the driver failed to see a stopped Volkswagen Tiguan. The Honda attempted to avoid a collision by swerving left but still struck the rear of the SUV, Cmdr. Anthony Novak told Patch.
