Run For Brave After Party At Brand-New Plainfield Eatery
It's the first-ever after party for the event, now in its seventh year.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Now in its seventh year, the Operation Welcome You Home Run For The Brave 5K will feature a post-race after party for the first time ever. Organizers announced this week that race registrants are invited to Craft'd, 16031 S. Lincoln Highway, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. following the race on Saturday, May 26.
The race helps OWYH provide resources to local servicemen and women, including wounded veterans. As always, the event takes place the Saturday before Memorial Day, which this year falls on May 26, 2018, at Plainfield North High School, 12005 S. 248th Ave. This year's event includes a walk/run and ruck, or running with a weighted pack.
Race organizers are also looking to honor veterans who served in Vietnam this year.
