Senior Star at Weber Place and The Chicago Lighthouse Present Low Vision Products Show

Public invited to experience state-of-the-art technology for improved quality of life

ROMEOVILLE, IL (April 24, 2015) Senior Star at Weber Place is hosting The Chicago Lighthouse’s Low Vision Products Road Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 at 605 S. Edward Drive, Romeoville.

State-of-the-art technology such as portable reading devices, independent living aids, kitchen items, large print keyboards, accessibility software and many more products designed to improve daily life will be displayed for those who are blind or visually impaired. Attendees will be able to test each product and receive training and advice from The Chicago Lighthouse’s expert staff.

“Educating seniors and their families on the tools to aging well and improving quality of life is essential,” said Anna Walters, director of health services at Senior Star at Weber Place. “Senior Star is pleased to partner with The Chicago Lighthouse on an event that brings many available resources to those who are blind or visually impaired.”
